I've just finished going through this with a fine tooth comb, and after looking at the event logs on my windows 2008 server, I relized that I had a typo in my command syntax when using ht e-u for username I had accidentally used a -u instead of a -p for the password. After fixing my command I was able to successfuly audit a windows 2008 server machine. Something to note is that you must go into the "Windows Firewall with advanced security" under administrator tools and turn off the firewall for all three zones (public, private, and domain) this was what I had to do to get teh script to run after fixing my command syntax.

I am glad I found your site and the SYDI script, it made my documentation activity not failing the deadline.

Andreas - This is because I only maintain the English and Swedish language file, those are the only languages I know so I need help with the other ones. I am going to write more about this to explain it. As a quick fix open the english file and copy the section containing product keys and just make up your own translation.

Patrick,

this is super stuff, like your work. However I have one question you or maybe some of the others that are using your script might know or have answer too. Are you aware of somebody having this integrated into a CMDB or similar configuration DB?

Cheers Thomas

Tack som FAN!

Från att inte ha haft någon som helst koll på licenserna i vår produktionsmiljö, så har jag sen en lunchrast 100%-ig koll på vilka programvaror som körs.

Riktigt bra, riktigt bra!
Vore guld om man kunde få in allting i en databas av något slag (ok, excel-wrappern fungerar - men databaser är mer mitt gebit) .

Mvh
